No data on road traffic accidents are available for the years 1944-45, since the police were non-operative in part of this period. As from 1967 the statistics leaves out accidents involving only pedestrians. As from 1976 the definition of serious and slight injuries was changes. This implied an increase in seriously and a decrease in slightly injured. As from 1981 minor bruises etc are no longer considered as slight injuries. This implied a decrease in the number of slightly injured.
